After our initial phone or e-mail consultation, our work together continues with a one-time 90-minute intake session involving me, the student, and at least one parent.

Together, we will evaluate the student’s needs, goals, and abilities, and devise an initial strategy for reaching these goals.  The student and I will also spend at least 15 minutes working together, and I encourage the parent(s) to observe our work critically.

Finally, we will establish clear expectations for the role of tutor, student, and parent.  All questions are fair game here.

The intake session is held at my home office in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights, on California Street.
